Introduction

The EX4100-H series includes the following models:

The EX4100-H-12MP provides four 100MB/1GbE/2.5GbE and eight 10MB/100MB/1GbE PoE++ access ports, each delivering up to 90W of power, for a total PoE budget of 360W using two power supplies.

The EX4100-H-24MP provides eight 100MB/1GbE/2.5GbE and sixteen 10MB/100MB/1GbE PoE++ access ports, each delivering up to 90W of power, for a total PoE budget of 370W using two power supplies.

The EX4100-H-24F provides 24 100MB/1GbE access ports and supports two power supplies for redundancy.

For the EX4100-H-12MP, two AC PSUs, two DC PSUs, or a combination of one AC PSU and one DC PSU can be used simultaneously. The PSU is external and includes two 1/10GbE SFP+ fixed uplink ports and two 1/10GbE SFP+ ports to support Virtual Chassis connections, which can be reconfigured as Ethernet ports for uplink connections.

For the EX4100-H-24MP and EX4100-H-24F, two AC PSUs, two DC PSUs, or a combination of one AC PSU and one DC PSU can be used simultaneously. The PSU is internal, hot-swappable, and field-replaceable (FRU). It includes four 1/10GbE SFP+ fixed uplink ports and four 1/10GbE SFP+ ports to support Virtual Chassis connections, which can be reconfigured as Ethernet ports for uplink connections. The EX4100-H offers a full suite of Layer 2 and Layer 3 features, supporting a wide range of deployments, including campus and branch offices. As scale requirements increase, Juniper Networks’ Virtual Chassis technology allows you to seamlessly interconnect and manage up to 10 EX4100-H switches as a single device, providing a scalable, pay-as-you-grow solution for expanding network environments.

The EX4100-H switches offer the same features as the EX4100 series switches. They also include high availability (HA) features such as redundant, hot-swappable power supplies to ensure maximum uptime. Furthermore, the 12-port Multigigabit Ethernet EX4100-H switches offer standards-based 802.3af/at/bt (PoE/PoE+/PoE++), delivering up to 90W of power on any access port. You can configure the EX4100-H switch to rapidly provide PoE power to connected devices within seconds of booting, minimizing downtime and ensuring fast performance.
